Chickens: We need 5 dozen eggs a week!

With two families living in one home, making healthy meals has been quite a joyous adventure to say the least and the least is all I can say for now, as our computer is failing (hopeful to have the issue resolved shortly).  So, I’m using my sister-in-laws computer to finally post about how our need for at least 5 dozen eggs a week led to us having our own chickens!  The idea began last month . . .

. . . and we decided to visit a friend down the road (thank you Deedra) to see what having chickens was all about. Joshie enjoyed the trip, as did the rest of us!

Nathan loves to point at everything these days . . . Deedra's chickens were a new experience for him and he loved it! :)

Next, we just needed to figure out where to put chickens if we had them . . . the next post will be all about our chicken coop and what a wonderful husband I have been blessed with!
